The President’s Page Welcome to the Emerald Coast Apartment Association! It is my honor and privilege to serve as your president this year. ECAA has something for everyone in the multi-family housing industry. Our association is a non-profit organization made up of apartment communities, independent rental owners and property management companies covering Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties in NW Florida, as well as vendors who provide products and services to our industry. Everyone from the property manager to the maintenance tech, the sales person to the marketing director can benefit from participation in our organization, as we strive to bring you the best in educational opportunities, legal issues, networking, and relationship building through our monthly general membership meetings and other functions. 2011 was a phenomenal year for the ECAA. Through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers we have increased our membership, and we now serve apartment communities totaling over 12,000 units. We also have over 40 associate members! We will even celebrate our 9th year as an association in March! We have several great things planned so far for 2012. We have just completed our 2nd annual Maintenance Mania competition. It was a huge success! Be sure to click on the link on the home page to check out the results and sponsor information. We also have several educational seminars in the works, so look for further information on these awesome educational opportunities. As a reminder, our General Membership meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at New World Landing in Pensacola. This is a great opportunity for food, fun, fellowship and education.
